Lady Quickstep wins on her return to action!

18th January 2021

Lady Q.jpg

Lady Quickstep bounced right back to form with an impressive victory at Wolverhampton off top weight under an excellent ride from George Bass.

Out of stall 1, she settled in midfield before taking advantage of a lovely run round the bend to burst through a gap in front of her and run away with a comfortable 1 1/2 length success at 28/1. She was a lovely 2 year old and last season didn't go her way with one thing or another so after an extended summer break and some TLC, she has come right back to form.

We are now looking forward to the rest of this season on the all weather with a potential aim for the handicap on Good Friday at Lingfield. The story continues...

Atavique wins on debut at Newbury!

23rd October 2020

Atavique runs out an impressive winner at Newbury on debut at 40/1.

She broke smartly & settled in midfield under George Rooke. She travelled sweetly into contention & hit the front 2 furlongs from home. She showed signs of inexperience & had a good look around in front but she battled all the way to the line to run out a ready winner by 2 1/2 lengths.

She'll now be aimed at Pattern races to try & get her some well deserved black type. There is a Listed race for Fillies at Doncaster in November which could be an option, but we'll also look abroad as she could go over to France.

Exciting times ahead with this impeccably bred filly.

Rock on Tommy makes racecourse debut!

26th September 2020

rock on 2.jpg

Rock on Tommy had a very pleasing racecourse introduction at Market Rasen finishing 5th of 11 in a competitive bumper.

Lewis Stones was on board who gave him an excellent educational ride.

He was fairly green throughout as he was learning his trade but stuck on well & galloped all the way to the line.

He'll head straight over hurdles now over the next few weeks.

Lady Quickstep & Habanero Star having a break!

1st September 2020

Lady Quickstep is enjoying some time out in the field while we have some lovely weather.

She's had a long 2 years in training with a short rest period while she was on box rest for an injury.

She is making great strides out in the field as she grows & strengthens up.

Habanero Star is also enjoying a short break. She's had 5 runs in a short space of time & will now be aimed at a campaign on the all weather over the winter.

Last share available in Friary Land!

1st August 2020

There is just one share remaining in Friary Land - a 6 year old gelding by Schiaparelli in training with Olly Murphy. He's finished placed in a couple of point to points and ran 4 times over hurdles in Ireland.

He hasn't been given a handicap mark in England so he'll have to run in a novice or maiden hurdle before being allocated a mark. He would seem to be well handicapped if he can achieve a mark anywhere near his Irish mark.

The last share available is worth 1/12th with £1500 buy in and £249 fixed monthly cost.

He'll be a horse that will give us plenty of fun over hurdles & fences throughout the winter.
