All of us at PTR are eagerly awaiting Lady Quickstep's return to the racecourse. When she finally does so, it will be about a year since she last showed us what she can do.
It seems like a long time ago when we agreed to buy Lady Q, as a yearling who arrived at Gay Kelleway's yard from Ireland in quite a sorry state, tugging on everyone's heart strings. The ugly duckling with a big personality soon blossomed into a swan and the rest is history, bursting onto Brighton racecourse on her debut in May 2019 with a resounding 4 length success at 25/1.
Respectable runs followed at York, Redcar & Beverley, where she finished closely behind Liberty Beach on two occasions, who is now rated 104. Lady Q held an entry at Royal Ascot, only to be denied her run by the rain... otherwise, who knows!
Now fully recovered from a split pastern which was surgically repaired by the fantastic vets in Newmarket, Lady Q is now fit and raring to get back on the track in the next few weeks. She has strengthened up from 2 to 3, her coat is gleaming and she'd ready to rock.
